Noah created this video to help you understand the different pool services.
If for some reason you are not fully satisfied with a pool cleaning let us know promptly and we’ll re-clean it for free. Also, if you so much as don’t like the technician’s hair cut, we can find you a technician with a hair cut you like! We are serious about your satisfaction! Please be sure to inform us within 24 hours of any type of complaint. This will help us identify potential causes and correct this for the future.
Note: If you are on the “Select” or “Partial Service Option” then vacuuming and netting is not included in the plan. You can upgrade to our “Full Service Option” if you desire to have these items performed. One last thing, Please inform your spouse if you make a change in service so they can adjust their service and budget expectations accordingly.
Customers on our weekly pool service & chemical programs can expect that we will correct any normal water balancing issues at no additional charge, provided the swimming pool and equipment have been kept in proper working order, and service has not been interrupted.
Chemicals and chemical levels covered in this water balance guarantee include: chlorines, elimination of irritating chloramines, pH (potential hydrogen), TA (Total Alkalinity), and salt, if your pool has a working salt generator in use. Startup chemicals are excluded as are inorganic stains.
Our chemical treatments cannot affectively treat areas above the pool water level such as under sand stones in waterfalls, or on tiles above the water line.
Startup chemicals such as Cyanuric Acid (also known as Stabilizer or Conditioner) and Calcium Chloride are necessary to convert tap water to pool water. Tap water, prior to being converted to pool water, will damage most calcium based surfaces or grout and will not safely preserve a disinfectant from the sun’s UV rays.
Startup chemicals, as well as the Total Dissolved Solids, are subject to “creeping up” over the years as very small amounts of them are added along with regular chlorine use or the addition of tap water, due to evaporation. Many pools will evaporate as much as 4 ½ feet each year. If these chemicals “creep up” out of ideal range, your pool may require a partial drain. We recommend having the pool partially drained every year with a minimum of every 3 years. This will improve comfort while also reducing staining, calcium deposits and chemical build-up. Call us if you have any question or want to schedule a partial drain.
Do to the fact that there are over 30,000 strands of algae we take algae prevention as seriously as possible! Our clients get the following to ensure proactive measures of prevention are always taken. Weekly checks for algae, disinfectant levels within Texas recreations water standards for chlorine and disinfectants, and balance of pH and TA to best optimize steady buffer of oxidizers between treatments.
Having said that, please keep in mind that outdoor swimming pools are “open systems” in an uncontrolled environment. They are subject to whatever is blowing around in the air or the yard. Algae spores, are constantly being introduced to swimming pools. Please call us immediately if you notice any algae blooms so we can render an extra visit for treatment if this situation occurs.
There are some strands of algae here in Texas that are immune to chlorine at levels safe for swimmers, due to a mucus membrane that protects the spores. If one of these strands is introduced to your pool, we may have to add a specialized treatment for that type of algae strand, as they can take hold and bloom even in a perfectly balanced and clean pool.
We do need the following to keep your pool algae free:
1. The swimming pool and equipment/filter have been kept in proper working order.
2. The pumps are all running the appropriate amount of time each day.
3. There is not landscaping in or touching the water (this converts chlorine to salt rapidly).
4. Service has not been interrupted due to payment failures and lockouts on service days.
5. Proper water level has been maintained by customer if there is not an auto fill device.
6. Critically needed services have been authorized.
Black algae is also guaranteed not to occur under normal circumstances. Exceptions to our Algae Free Guarantee for black algae include:
1. Pre-existing membrane algae.
2. Worn plaster or other surfaces with pitting.
3. Waterfalls that do not have enough daily circulation.
4. Moss rock or natural stone that is exposed to ongoing moisture.
5. Lack of sufficient daily circulation and filtration.
6. Areas that are not fully submerged in water.
7. Broken or inoperable sanitation systems including in-line chlorinators or salt generating systems that are not functioning properly.
8. Drainage issues washing into the pool.
If we see a membrane algae strand in your pool we will begin immediate treatment to prevent it spreading of the algae and there will be a charge for just the chemical treatment product (not the labor or visit) assuming you are on one of the weekly chemical services.
